Tips on Cheap Cleaning – Part One

cheap cleaning productsAll of us want to have a clean and tidy home. You should know that you do not need expensive,  commercial cleaning products to achieve that. There are a lot of cleaning products that you can make in your house, using only household products. As a plus to that, they are all environmentally friendly as well. Here are some recipes that you might like to use:

  • For a window cleaner, take a spray bottle and pour in it 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 4 tablespoons of vinegar and half a litre of water. Spray onto the glass and then wipe with a crumpled newspaper. Then wipe with a new newspaper. Cleaners East End say it is better to use newspapers than cloths, because they do not leave marks. This cleaner works perfect for mirrors as well.
  • For removing burnt-on food from the oven bottom, cover the food with a paste of baking soda and water. Leave it for an hour and then wipe off.
  • For cleaning food spills from the oven, act fast and while they are still fresh, sprinkle some salt over them. After that when the oven cools and the spills dry, wipe or scrape them off.
  • To freshen up carpets, sprinkle them with baking soda. Leave it for an hour to absorb all the odours and then vacuum it. Make sure you vacuum all the soda because it will continue to absorb odours not only from the carpet and it will begin to smell bad.
  • To freshen a room, put some baking soda in a decorative bowl. Add a few drops of essential oil to it and leave it in the room. Cleaners East End assure that this will absorb the odours and fresh the air up.
